Bedford shops... The column on the left of the picture belongs to Phoenix Chambers, High Street Bedford, just near where the High Street meets Castle Lane, info from David Seabrooke.

A sharp grab indeed as The Phoenix Chambers on the left side barely appears in my copy of the film, but here it is now. SJ

More Bedford shops.

Following the sequence. In fact in the film a police car is scouring the High Street for "teenage" Glynis Johns who has gone missing and soon Leo Genn is going to come under suspicion. The bridge seen in 001 and 002 is just on the right of this frame (south). SJ

Yet more shops.

image no 10

There is a cut to the police car and then we see more of the High Street, but this time it is further north so a bit of mucking around with the editing occurred. The top right seems to match agreeably here. SJ

Shops shops shops.

And this is much the same place, showing a match behind the traffic light, but here's a wider shot which shows all four bits of the sequence. SJ
