Arab oil mayhem, spies, double dealing and less than honest politicians in Whitehall...50 years ago! One can hardly credit it!
The locations for the photos are :- msq003,msq004,msq004a,msq005,msq006, msq008,msq009 and msq010 are all Villajoyosa front (mainly Calle Arsenal where the houses have been preserved)msq013,msq013a,msq013b,msq013c,msq013d,msq013e,msq013f and msq013g are the Castle of Santa Barbara in Alicante.

msq002. Same statue, backside. A great aunt of mine, of German origin, recognised a family friend, at a distance, and, when asked how she had recognised him, stated "Oh. I didn't see his frontside, but I knew him by his backside!". Collapse, as they used to say, of stout party. |

msq003. Yes, I know the film credits list Alicante in Spain, but I've been misled before. And a peep at sites with pics of Alicante show a sizeable mountain in the distance, with a castle on the top. |
