Romantic comedy set during WWII an unlikely romance between American naval officer (James Garner) and British war-time secretary and widow (Julie Andrews). Garner plays a self confessed coward who gets caught up in the American military's attempt at a publicity event by being a sailor and the first casualty on a Normandy beach.
