![]() Quare Fellow, The qf005a. Kilmainham Prison. Your shot qf005a titled Kilmainham Prison looks like Beggar's Bush Barracks to me, and not Kilmainham Gaol (as we know it here in Dublin). I'll check this out soon. By the way, the interior prison scenes in the Italian Job were filmed in the real Kilmainham Gaol. John Larkin. Richard Callanan says: I can confirm this is Beggars Bush Barracks on Haddington Road, Dublin. The shot is taken from outside the main gate looking NW. The two windows visible in the building behind the wall in the first frame were my bedroom 1945-62! That room was later used as the Abbey Green Room in the film 'The Young Cassidy' I'll try to get photos on my next visit to Dublin. The buildings are modernised and privatised but the architecture from about 1815 remains basically intact. Thanks for the confirmation, Richard. | This space is available to all local businesses in Dublin, Ireland, Little Venice?, London, it works 24/7/365 and costs very little, only about the price of a cup of tea a day.
