Smallest Show on Earth 1957Basil Dearden, Bill Travers, Virginia McKenna, Margaret Rutherford, Peter Sellers, Leslie Phillips and Bernard Miles.Hammersmith, Kilburn, London and Stafford
Director :   Production Company : British Lion Films.

Bernard Miles used to buy his sandwhiches when he was the director of the Mermaid Theatre, from my wife's shop in Carter Lane, near St Paul's Cathedral, there I go, rambling off again. Minor funny fantasy about a tiny cinema 'The Bijou' squeezed into and between two railway bridges outside Kilburn Underground station in North West London, according to Tony Reeves in his book, London Movie Locations.

This movie is available on a swap/exchange/barter basis - see our wants/swaps information page. It is a VHS PAL video copy. If you would like to swap/barter or exchange one of your tapes, videos or DVDs for this copy then look at the movies/films listed by geographical area pages - our wants are shown in black - to find out which films I require and for which I will exchange one of my videos or DVDs.

Can you identify any of the real streets for this movie?
We are always looking for more help with identifying these filming locations and would be grateful for any positive identifications, snippets or references you can offer about these movie making locations.

A cinema, but which, and where. Outside the Gaumont Palace/Odeon/Apollo Hammersmith, London ~ David Freeman. Although Steve Smith wonders if it is outside Earl's Court?
