If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Bedford Bridge in Bedford, Bedfordshire.

Taken from a bit lower, being without my crane. Looking northwest over the Great Ouse. SJ

Bedford Bridge with the Swan Hotel across the River Ouse advises SJ with Nic Adair adding that the shot was taken from The Anglers Inn, formally the Bridge Hotel, which was demolished in 1980.

Tricky to replicate, Nic achieved the comparison by flying a drone at 5.30 in the morning, with the healthy overgrown foliage adding to the hazard.

The detail above the door remains in Antony Blair's view.

Bedford shops... The column on the left of the picture belongs to Phoenix Chambers, High Street Bedford, just near where the High Street meets Castle Lane, info from David Seabrooke.

A sharp grab indeed as The Phoenix Chambers on the left side barely appears in my copy of the film, but here it is now. SJ

More Bedford shops.

Following the sequence. In fact in the film a police car is scouring the High Street for "teenage" Glynis Johns who has gone missing and soon Leo Genn is going to come under suspicion. The bridge seen in 001 and 002 is just on the right of this frame (south). SJ

Yet more shops.

There is a cut to the police car and then we see more of the High Street, but this time it is further north so a bit of mucking around with the editing occurred. The top right seems to match agreeably here. SJ

Shops shops shops.

And this is much the same place, showing a match behind the traffic light, but here's a wider shot which shows all four bits of the sequence. SJ
