If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

You could, once upon a time, before mobiles came along! "Many people living in Letchmore Heath were horrified that the film was given the title 'Village of the Damned' instead of John Wyndams title for the book 'The Midwich Cuckoos". They thought the village would always be remembered by that name!" Information from John Southey and Ms Bernard through Philip Hubbard.

Philip Hubbard did a bit of research about the mystery clock and found out from John Southley, through Ms Bernard, that the clock was stuck onto the church. The villagers hated it as it looked like a kitchen clock and it was removed after the shots were filmed.

Maybe the American School, Beevors House, nearby. However sharp eyed Dave Buckley suggests - I think it's a different angle of Capture 1 - Aldenham House, Haberdashers' Aske's School. Certainly has a similar portico. Confirmed by Geoff Dodd. (RL)
