If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

At the airfield, a plane is chartered to take Mother Riley and her expedition to the remote Skull Island in the South Seas. With sincere thanks to "treadigraph" in particular, and the others at www.pprune.org who gives the location at Blackbushe Airport in Hampshire, which was seen in 'The Crooked Sky'. In addition we learn that the aircraft is Airspeed Consul G-AIKR which still exits and is preserved at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. It was owned by Airwork at the time who's main operating base then was Blackbushe. (RL)

Not happy with his first attempt at a comparison, Andrew Price returned to take this view and is pretty confident he was pretty much in the spot where the aircraft was.
