The Platform 5 sign was added for filming, this is Platform 1. When the station was redeveloped the platform was shortened and is now an area for cafes and restaurants. This particular restaurant has closed so is viewed over the glass screen. (SD)

As the train leaves, Mike walks back along the platform. Windsor & Eton Central Station, seen in many features including 'The Wildcats of St Trinian's', 'Carry On Loving', 'The Lovers!', 'Left, Right and Centre', 'A Run for Your Money', 'That’s Your Funeral', 'Two-Way Stretch' and 'Lease of Life'.

This was at the end of Platform 1 but is now all that remains of the shortened platform. The other three platforms were already out of use by the time of filming. (SD)

Lionel and Cynthia Sear this shot from the deck of the good ship "Swan" for us. They tell us that it is no longer the HQ of the Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club as a speed limit has now been imposed on Lake Windermere and they have moved. The house is of some architectural significance as it was designed by Charles Voysey and it is now run as a small hotel/wedding venue. (RL)
