We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Andrews almost back in Sound of Music territory... Only this is not in Austria, because this final scene, set in Canada, was filmed in Switzerland, more specifically somewhere in the Saanenland (canton of Bern), where Andrews and her husband Blake Edwards owned a chalet in Gstaad, suggests Manuel G. And found! (SJ)

In support of Manuel, Mark P. from Germany has analyzed the scene using the fully wooded ridge with a certain notch or depression in the middle and behind that, the higher towering mountains, that have fresh snow on it as markers. He has found the ridge near Gsteig, south of Gstaad. The exact location is here: 46.367836, 7.238717. Great work. (SJ)
