A crook hides his spells in prison by pretending to be a man of the cloth on various missions until his barrister son secures a place as marshal to a judge.

Now dressed as a man of the cloth and kitted out as if he's returned from China, Percy arrives at the home of his sister Florence and his son Colin. With thanks to "sandgrounder" of Britmovie Forum who resolves another. Limerston Street, London SW10 with the junction into Gertrude Street going off left.
The strip of "land" to the right in the screen capture is now clearly within the curtilage of the houses. (RL)

Colonel Masters (Ronald Squire) joins in a scheme to incriminate Judge Crichton that will prevent him hearing Percy's case. Geoff Dodd identifies this as Kendal Hall, now Radlett Preparatory School, Watling Street in Radlett, Hertfordshire which is also seen in 'Cast a Dark Shadow' as well as the television series 'The Avengers' episode 'From Venus With Love'. When the Judge and Colin find themselves on Vickery's (Reginald Beckwith) land, a gun is held to Sir Edward. Littleton Park House at Shepperton Studios in Surrey. The much seen building was used in 'The Night We Got the Bird', 'The Belles of St. Trinian's', 'The Great St. Trinian's Train Robbery' and 'The Earth Dies Screaming'.
