Police arrive at a West London lodging house after being summoned when Peter Watson assaults Mr. Pollen. The story takes place in real time in the early hours of the morning.

Located by Ray and Ron Glenister in Sydney, Australia as Elm Park Gardens, London SW10 looking towards Cranley Gardens, as a result of identifying what was, St. Peter's church that is now St Yeghiche Armenian Church in Cranley Gardens visible in manup009. (RL)

As the night progresses, a searchlight is erected and aimed at the windows of Watson's room. Unfortunately, all the location scenes are filmed in the dark but at the bottom of the image can be seen a distinctive bay window.

As a result of Ray and Ron's identification of Elm Park Gardens I was able, with subsequent confirmation and verification by them, able to establish the properties involved. The searchlight is turned on from the second floor window of No:100 Elm Park Gardens. First floor bay now replaced with three windows as have all properties on that side of the Gardens. (RL)

A fire brigade turntable ladder is called in.

The fire engine was hiding No:100 and maybe part of No:102 but the scaffolded house was No:98 with the remodelling in progress and now with the white door. (RL)
