If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Mitchell outside O.S.? Fish
Actually, G S Fish on the corner of 543 Commercial Road and Heath Street (now Head Street). In 1957 according to Kelly's it was G S Fish's cycle business. Almost the first frame of this cut the number 543 can be seen as she crosses over Heath St. Now the garden of The Royal Duchess. (RL)

The same scene.
On the opposite corner of Heath St, 539-541 Commercial Rd was G S Fish trading as a pawnbroker. For the purposes of the film they changed the name to Ernest Jones & Sons. (RL)

More pawn shops.
Head Street, London E1 (previously Heath St). Despite change of use and more security shuttering the original windows remain as does most of the left hand side of road. An interesting summary of G S Fish's trading and the locations used in the film can be read on http://apps.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/records.aspx?cat=092-bfis&cid=0#0 and also confirms that the "Pledge Office" sign was genuine. Mitchell treats herself to the hairdresser's and then to here for a bottle of whiskey after pawning her ring in the same sequence, but it could be anywhere.
