If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Outside the courts Harold finds the parking ticket. Sarah Smith advises that her Grandad, Timothy Smith, was followed around the East End and at his home by the writers as part of their research to create the character for Albert Steptoe himself. Sarah adds that her Grandad was a 'wheeler dealer' with twelve children who made his money by being a cheeky but shrewd fellow. "He could sell ice to Eskimos!"

Steptoe and Son make their way home. Ruth says "Aldwych, London. There was controversy over the entrance sculptures at the time, fig leaf or not? Building demolished and rebuilt recently".
The late Ruth Patterson took this picture adding "The location was formerly English Electric House (Marconi House was adjoining) and before that the Original Gaiety Theatre. See 'Trottie True' image 003. St. Clement Danes church is at the back and their bells chime 'Oranges and Lemons'. It is the official RAF church".
