Quatermass heads from the base. Gordon Thomson identifies this as the exit of Haberdashers' Aske's School for Boys opposite Dagger Lane, Elstree. The building also appears in 'Dangerous Davies: The Last Detective', 'Kill or Cure', 'Bottoms Up!' and 'It's in the Air'. Jonathan Cocking explains that Aldenham House was still in use by the BBC at the time of filming with Haberdashers' School acquiring the property in 1959 and the school opening two years later.

Quatermass and Marsh arrive to find a new town being constructed on the site of Winnerden Flats. Hemel Hempstead

Having seen the Moon Project being built near Winnerden Flats and Marsh being taken captive, Quatermass seeks help from the police.

Quatermass asks the locals where the police can be found only to be told there aren't any.

Quatermass locates the 'camp committee' at the community hall.

Today there are lots more people and traffic lights but the same amount of buses.

Quatermass sees lorries conveying construction material for the Moon Project. Admiralty Arch, Trafalgar Square, London which is also featured in ‘Duffy’, ‘84 Charing Cross Road’, ‘The Betrayal’, ‘Children of Men’, ‘Nowhere to Go’ and ‘That Riviera Touch’ amongst many other productions.

I think the load must have fallen from the lorry!!

Quatermass' Moon Project has been built on Earth. Shell Haven oil refinery near Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. The refinery closed in 1999 and the site is now occupied by the London Gateway deep water container port.
