Bob Whirl identified the long standing (14 years) location for capture 1 and supplied extra information for potential additional captures. The pond where the dead body and axe were dumped is Hook Lake in Northaw 51.7009003, -0.1497865 and the lawn that Albert Finney & Susan Hampshire drive all-over belongs to Nyn Hall. It was demolished shortly after filming and a new building now stands on the site. 51.712096, -0.150476

Wrong angle, right location, The Edgwarebury, as I posted back in Sept '12. This is a much improved angle which also shows the passageway leading to the extension which put paid to the croquet lawn, as seen in the next shot. SJ

Yes it's the Edgwarebury in Hertfordshire again and there's the croquet lawn, now built over, seen in ‘School for Scoundrels’, ‘The Devil Rides Out’, ‘Spider’s Web’, ‘Never Too Young to Rock’, ‘Stardust’, 'Sons of the Sea', 'Man Accused', ‘The Rough and the Smooth’, 'For Members Only', ‘Stranger from Venus’, ‘My Lover My Son’, 'The Liquidator’, ‘Not Now Comrade’, ‘So Evil, So Young and ‘Mosquito Squadron’.
Turning to the right, the croquet lawn was where the new building is now and this replaces another off-angle shot from 2012. SJ
