Can you help:

If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Stock shot of a train taking Paul Linden and his new wife Nichole to London. The southbound Royal Scot passes over Bushey water troughs. Hertfordshire. The location appears seen in 'Hide and Seek', 'Night Mail', 'Train of Events', 'Escapade', 'Left, Right and Centre' and 'One Wild Oat'.

Not taken from the same spot, that would be a bit dangerous, so a blurred image from a speeding train of the same location. (PW)

The Linden's house. Tony Travers identifies this location as Weymouth Street, London W1 . . . .

. . . . and Richard Lovejoy sent in this shot with, as always, "Road Works" - a blot on the landscape!

Nichole (Noëlle Adam) and Paul Linden (David Farrar) arrive home. Weymouth Street again in W1 found by Tony Travers.

The same location now taken by Richard Lovejoy.

Paul waits outside the house. Looking west along Weymouth Street, London.

Richard Lovejoy says 'Sorry Paul, parking suspended today'.

A long shot of the street as Paul enters the house. Tony Travers says Weymouth Street again.

Again, Richard took this now shot adding that the planters look to be the same.

The home of Paul and Nichole Linden from the opposite angle to image beagi002. Weymouth Street, London W1 located by Tony.

Richard rather liked it with the sun shades in the screen shot! The same place today.

Nichole enters St Martins School of Art to meet her step-daughter Jennifer Linden. Charing Cross Road, London WC2. Adrian found the domed building seen to the right of the shot, it's the old YMCA Building on Tottenham Court Road which was demolished in 1971.

From a similar perspective. (PW)

Nichole walks through a street market. This may be Leather Lane as seen in 'The Mackintosh Man' or could it be Whitecross Street as see in 'The Cracksman' or even Berwick Street in Soho? For the moment an unidentified location.

After a wild night of music in the local caves, Jennifer and her friends take part in a dangerous car race. Facing west on Digswell Park Road, Digswell in Hertfordshire.

Ivor Williams provides this and the next three comparison images along with their associated screen captures.

The cars speed towards a railway viaduct. Digswell Park Road in Digswell to the north of Welwyn Garden City with Digswell Viaduct filling the background.

In colour by Ivor.

Digswell Viaduct is also called Welwyn Viaduct and carries the East Coast Main Line over the River Mimram between Welwyn Garden City and Welwyn North.

The same viaduct captured by Ivor.

Roadworks under the viaduct force the Ford Crestliner to a halt. Beneath Digswell Viaduct on Digswell Park Road. The location can also be seen in 'Women Aren't Angels'.

Some of the same fence posts seem to have survived in the last of Ivor Williams' comparisons.

When they reach a railway line, the delinquents climb the level crossing's gate.

  • 'Now' required

The friends dare each other to play a game of “chicken” in which the last person to leave the track as a train approaches is the winner.

The Lindens drive through London streets.

The same clock still tells the time on Frith Street in London W1.

  • 'Now' required

Dave (Adam Faith), Tony (Peter McEnery) and Dodo (Shirley Anne Field) leaving the Off-Beat Cafe. Studio set included for sake of completeness.

Long shot of Old Compton Street at the junction with Greek Street, London W1 as Paul and Nichole walk away with Jennifer. The illuminated sign to the left is on the Three Greyhounds public house. The location appears in 'Appointment with Crime', ‘Street of Shadows’ and ‘Up Jumped a Swagman’.

And the Three Greyhounds is still there. Now shot taken by Richard Lovejoy adding 'Unfortunately I was not able to get higher to take a similar shot'.
