If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

The film moves to London with a panorama of Docklands. Andrew Murphy describes the scene as west Silvertown in the foreground, including the Silvertown Flyover, Bow Creek to the right and, across the Thames, Greenwich peninsula, now the home of 'the Dome'.

Martin Fallon (Mickey Rourke) arrives at a Thames side warehouse. Steve Cook identifies this as the Royal Victoria Dock with Millennium Mill in the background. The location was seen in 'Madhouse'.

Reverse angle from image prady003 just before Fallon enters the warehouse. Again the Royal Victoria Dock located by Steve Cook.

The police arrive to raid the safe house where they believe Fallon is hiding. This is the corner of Oban Street and Leven Road in E14 with the gas holders of Bromley-by-Bow Gas Works looming over the landscape. The location was seen in 'Terry on the Fence'.
Replacing Tonyk's streetview of 13/1/13 who added, "Surprisingly, the buildings are still there". The gasometers are now being dismantled. SJ

Armed police arrive on the scene. Simon James says "I did the sensible thing and looked in my own book and found out that this is the corner of Leven Road and Oban Street, London E14.
Much changed except for the terraced row on the west part of Oban Street. SJ
- Capture 8
- 22 Sep 2017
About to break into the hideout. Location identified as Oban Street by Steve Cook.
Here's an example of fitting architecture on Oban Street (though I'm a little concerned about the bay windows which run down the whole terrace). SJ
- Capture 9
- 22 Sep 2017
Liam Docherty and Siobhan Donovan drive past as the raid is about to take place. ... and this is Leven Road looking west from Oban Street. Simon James and Steve Cook were both investigating these shots at the same time and within just a few hours of publication came up with the location.
Replacing Tonyk's google. Leven Road is confusingly labelled Torquay Court on google which on Leven Road. SJ

Krasko's bodyguards open the gates as he arrives at the cemetery. Looking onto Langthorne Road in Leytonstone, London E11.

Gates are less ornate. SJ

Krasko (Stanley Beard) visits the grave of his wife before Fallon murders him. St Patrick's Cemetery in Leytonstone.

With thanks to custodian John Sears who found this and others without hesitation. He remembered the filming thirty years ago but was away at the time. We decided the gleaming white foreground statue to the left in the "then" was a prop. SJ
- Capture 12
- 06 May 2018
Father Michael Da Costa (Bob Hoskins) walks through the cemetery. St Patrick's Cemetery on Langthorne Road in E11.

The cross in the right foreground has fallen down. SJ

Father Da Costa witnesses the shooting and confronts Fallon. St Patrick's Cemetery on Langthorne Road, Leytonstone E11.

A match. SJ
- Capture 14
- 06 May 2018
Fallon decides to spare Father Da Costa's life. St Patrick's Cemetery in London E11 with a Central Line train passing in the background.

This gave a few pauses for reflection to John Sears and me but the three statues to the left seem to match, and this faces north to the central line. SJ

The premises of Jack Meehan's undertaking business. The building is at the junction of Kennington Road and Windmill Row in SE11. Information from Mark Elliott who adds "My sister worked near Kennington underground station and remember her saying that they were filming close to the Children's Hospital, Dr. Barnardo's Home perhaps, for the Funeral Director scenes in Jack's Premises". Jonathan Lingham explains that "This building was built in the 19th century as the original Lambeth Vestry and then morphed into Lambeth Town Hall before a vast increase in responsibilities necessitated a shift to Brixton. Later it was the HQ of the Church of England Children's Society and more recently still was home to the Countryside Alliance before they upped sticks and moved to Lincoln."
I used to commute past this building daily and knew it was familiar from somewhere. Turn around and we're in 'London Boulevard' territory. SJ

Aerial view of Father Da Costa's church with the Keir Hardie Recreation Ground in the foreground. St Lukes Church in Canning Town E16 was deconsecrated in 1985 and is now used as a community centre.
A rather blurred ground view now, which does not show how dwarfed the ex-church has become with recent building. SJ

Not so easy to make out now. SJ

Added gable dormers now. SJ

After the church is desecrated by vandals, Father Da Costa looks for Meehan, the perpetrator, at a local pub. Once again Christopher Matheson provides the identity and the "now" shot. The Burdett-Coutts Drinking Fountain in Victoria Park, London E9 (RL)
- Capture 31
- 17 Apr 2018
Docherty approaches Siobhan after meeting with Fallon. The pathway and Old Ford Road can be seen in the background advises Scott Dunne.

Another capture of the Burdett-Coutts Drinking fountain from Christopher Matheson. He is happier with the angle here than Capture 30 . . . . perfectionist! (RL)
