Gare de Lyon: Jolie's there somewhere.
To gain some height too, the shot was taken from the left staircase leading up to famous Le Train Bleu restaurant almost exactly at 7 p.m. and shows the tracks on the right side of Hall 1. The concourse of the former main train shed of Gare de Lyon has continued to change over the last 14 years. Taken by Manuel. (SJ)

While Johnny Depp is being charmed by Angelina Jolie on the train, an ETR 600 "Frecciargento" is seen instead of an ETR 500 "Frecciarossa", as later shown upon arrival in Venice. The high-speed train of Italian State Railways heading towards Florence is just passing the Oreno viaduct (1037 m) and will then enter the Latereto tunnel (1154 m). At the top right, on the opposite side of the Arno valley, Ponticino village in the municipality of Laterina Pergine Valdarno, Arezzo province, is identifiable. MG

Heading towards the building with two levels of mullioned windows. It's supposed to be the Danieli but is the Palazzo Pisani-Moretta, San Polo, Venice on the picturesque Canal Grande.

A quintet of similar haircuts in front of the (I think) Santa Maria della Salute... several years later, Tom Tseng put my doubts to rest. It is in fact the Chiesa del Santissimo Redentore on the island of Giudecca.

One of those 400 or so bridges in Venice ... MG on the case again: the view towards the Fondamenta Riva Dell'Olio with Ponte de la Pescaria across Rio delle Beccarie. On the opposite site of Canal Grande the famous Ca' d'Oro, Palazzo Giustinian Pesaro and Ca' Sagredo can be seen.

Jolie on the bridge and there's another behind ... The colonnades behind Angelina belongs to the Mercato del Pesce al Minuto (fish market) along the Fondamenta de la Pescaria are visible. In the right distance the private bridge to the “Poste Vecie”, the oldest restaurant in Venice, can be recognised. MG

Depp embraces the local fuzz. This may be the Rialto market, the Erberia or Pescheria... Manuel; "We actually see the fruit market onto Campo della Pescaria. Shortly before, Depp's stuntman jumped down from the terrace on the first floor of the Rialto market building at the Fondamenta de le Prigioni, located just around the corner from captures 12 and 13."

Depp being dropped off at the "airport" but it can't be with that background... And once again Manuel with more precision, "Indeed, because Venice’s Aeroporto Marco Polo is located on the northern edge of the lagoon. In fact, we are on Giudecca island, more accurate at the Fondamenta San Biagio, overlooking the Canale della Giudecca towards the Santa Maria del Rosario church at the Fondamenta Zattere Ai Gesuati."

Bit dark: my notes say "atmospheric canal front no23" so there's a start. Not dark enough for Manuel though ... "Indeed a dark shot, taken at the eastern end of Giudecca island as part of the Dorsoduro district. Jolie is walking along the Fondamenta San Giovanni towards the Santa Maria della Presentazione church, also called Le Zitelle."

Same area: hint or two in the background... "Actually we are still on Giudecca island at the Fondamenta Zitelle, while on the other side of the Canale della Giudecca the illuminated Campanile di San Marco and the Doge's Palace can be recognised." Sharp eyes from MG again.
