A couple of youthful strangers decide to see the night out, while awaiting a rail connection, to explore Vienna. Over the course of the night they develop a huge mutual attraction. Rather a sleeper which has captured the imagination of many since and inspired two sequels. SJ

Additional Information:

The locations are integral to this one, so much so that there is a montage of highlights of the itinerary near the end as the couple reflect on their night. There is a walking tour called Surprise Tours in Vienna, (anything Salzburg can do!), and Tony Reeves has also covered many of the locations in his guide with thanks to both.

The location now by Gabi W who adds "In earlier times, Vienna used to bury bodies of murder victims, flood victims or suicidal persons that were washed ashore on the Danube, but not any more. Nevertheless the cemetery is maintained and in the small chapel services take place every now and then."
