Omen III: The Final Conflict
Date: 1981
Director: Graham Baker
Production Company: Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation
Stars: Sam Neill, Lisa Harrow, Rossano Brazzi, Don Gordon, Robert Arden, Barnaby Holm
Location(s): Wisconsin, District of Columbia (USA), North Yorkshire, London, Cornwall (UK), Italy
Region(s): Italy, London O-Q, N. America, North, South West
Storyline:
Spawn of the devil, Damien is now fully grown and ready to prevent the second coming of the Nazarene. SJ
Additional Information:
Originally known as ‘The Final Conflict’.
Mark Elliot now confidently confirms that the scene showing the TV Studio corridor was filmed inside what was BBC Television Centre. Studios 4-8 were amongst those demolished when the building was sold by the BBC. The interior studio shots are either Stage 8 or 9 at Elstree as Stages 7,8 and 9 were built for both film and tv production. Glimpses of the original Control Rooms at first floor level can be seen which eliminates Stage 7 as that never had dedicated Control Rooms. The slots for Harp Telescopes and Monopoles can be seen flanked by the more common Runway Beams for Chain Hoists etc. More detailed photographs can be seen on Martin Kempton’s excellent website ‘History of TV Studios in London’.
Can you help:
If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Helpful subtitle: a shot lifted from The Omen.

The Monastery of San Benedetto does really exist near Subiaco, 50 km east of Rome. But in reality this shot here shows the Abbey of San Sebastiano, located in Via dell'Abbadia in Alatri (Frosinone). This shot was sent in by Manuel Gurtner and also graces The Omen capture 27 (SJ)

The gates of the US ambassador's residence. Geoff Dodd tells us that these are actually the gates to Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire, but not the main entrance. These are for the exclusive apartments that are on the estate and are accessed via the Marford Road/Lemsford Village junction. The gateway also appears in 'Happy Ever After' as well as 'Licenced to Love and Kill'. (RL)
