As the film opens, a lone runner comes into view. Facing Putney Common from Lower Richmond Road in London SW15.

Back in Eastern Europe, guards watch as a young couple attempt to escape over the border. Looking down on Dorking from Box Hill in Mole Valley District identified on www.aveleyman.com. A pan left would bring into view a scene from 'Nothing Venture'.

This is my second attempt. After seeing the film I realised this was viewed from beside the trees to the east of the Salomons Memorial viewpoint. (SD)

Serial killer Keith (Michael Gothard) pursues undercover policewoman Sylvia (Judy Huxtable) after driving her from 'The Busted Pot' disco where he found her.
Barnes station in SW13 seen from the station footbridge next to Rock's Lane bridge. The location was seen in 'Somewhere in Camp'.

Sylvia struggles in the station subway before being dragged to the common. The subway at Barnes station confirmed by Peter Stanford.

Peter Stanford provides this view along the subway which is much less sinister than it looks in the film.

Keith escapes after almost being captured when the police arrive on the scene. Steve Cook identifies this as Shepperton High Street opposite Cliveden Place.

The pursuit continues. Turning left from the previous capture, Steve Cook advises that this is Russell Road at the junction of Wadham Road.

Taken from the safety of the green, Steve Platt looked the same way.

Keith's Austin Healey speeds ahead as a homing device worn by Sylvia sends signals from the car. Travelling in the opposite direction from the previous captures, this is Walton Lane in Lower Halliford located by Steve Cook.

The camera stays with the car as it turns. Incidentally, this is the same car that was used in 'The Stud'. Steve Cook found Walton Lane with the car turning right onto Russell Road.

A junction is approached as police start to take chase. Graham Hammond places this as High Street, Shepperton approaching the junction with Laleham Road, Charlton Road (ahead) and Green Lane to the right. (RL)

Nick Boorman provides this comparison advising that the building on the right was owned by Ian Allan, the railway book publishers, and that the pub to the left was recently demolished and replaced with flats.

Keith drives his Austin Healey over a level crossing and heads into a disused quarry. The level crossing next to Betchworth station on Station Road / Pebble Hill Road, Betchworth, Surrey.
