The long walk to work continues . . . . . . John Tunstill identifies this as the Secession Art Nouveau Museum on Friedrichstraße, Vienna 1010.

. . . . . and the rain carries on pouring. Gabi W advises that this is Ruprechtsplatz, 1010 Vienna, hence the name "Ruprechtsecke" for the clothing store, both named after the ancient church St. Ruprecht to the right. The stairs in the right distance lead down to the Franz-Josefs-Kai and Donau Kanal.

In Gabi W's view there is now is a restaurant at the corner.

Images of the past are recalled by Lucia Atherton. Possibly Wurstelprater amusement park in Wiener Prater which lies in Leopoldstadt 1020, Vienna's 2nd District.

Max talks with Mario (Ugo Cardea) alongside the Danube.

Gabi W returned to the shore of the Untere Alte Donau (Lower Old Danube).

The two head inside Mario's cafe. As the camera pans right from the shore, Gabi W recognised the restaurant at the Untere Alte Donau No. 159, 1220 Vienna, near the Große Bucht.

Max returns to his apartment after a fishing trip with Mario. Looking towards the south on Boschstraße with the Karl Marx-Hof complex to the right.

The camera turns to find Lucia browsing through windows in the centre of the city. To the right is the Mozart Figaro House at Domgasse 5,Vienna located by Steve Randall.

Gabi W adds that Singerstraße is beyond the archway to the bottom left.

Lucia walks towards an antique shop. Steve Randall identifies this as Kurrentgasse, looking towards the Austrian Verwaltungsgerichtshof, Administrative Court, in Vienna.

After Mario is killed, his funeral takes place. Feuerhalle Simmering Krematorium on Simmeringer Hauptstraße, Wien 1110.

Mark did not have access to any roof for a comparison shot so hopes that this shot of the Cathedral will do for now. (RL)

The shot finds Max as he talks with Bert (Amedeo Amodio), Hanz (Gabriele Ferzetti) and Klaus. The dome of Karlskirche on Kreuzherrengasse can be seen to the right.

As Max busies himself inside the apartment, Klaus waits in a car outside. The junction of Mooslackengasse and Boschstraße with Karl Marx Court standing in the background.

At the end of the film, a pan begins, leaving a Simca Aronde on Floridsdorfer Brücke in Vienna.

Mark advises that the new bridge was constructed alongside the original and was completed in 1978. The original was then demolished. Check St Leonards Church steeple on the right in the background. (RL)
