A West End hotel is not deemed suitable. The entrance to London's Savoy Hotel on Strand WC2 which was also seen in 'Life at the Top' and 'The Long Good Friday'.

The Woman leaves work one lunchtime. Newcombe House on Notting Hill Gate W11. The rear of the building is seen in 'It's All Happening' and other views of the block appear in 'Girl with Green Eyes' and 'West 11'.
Peter found added plants and a bit of redesign.

The Man leaves work soon afterwards and the couple take a taxi to the hotel. Looking west on Notting Hill Gate with United House on the corner of Pembridge Road to the extreme right. The street also features in other several films including 'Castaway', 'Alfie', 'Secret Rites', 'Duffer' and 'Goodbye Gemini'.

When the two are in the hotel room together, the Woman starts to imagine herself as the Man's wife, taking her children Ronnie (Neil Culleton) and Susan (Sandra Lea) to stay with their auntie. Jules Ballantyne has tracked the location down to Ladbroke Road, London W11. (RL)

The wife and children arrive outside the aunt's house. More specifically, Jules finds "aunt's house" as 86 Ladbroke Road, London W11, supporting with a Google Earth View revealing that the checkered risers have gone. (RL)

The affair ends after an argument and the Woman returns to work. Outside Newcombe House on Notting Hill Gate. The steps have since been redesigned.
