After Sarah leaves the two boys, Timothy and Marco drive to the shop where the American art student has a small flat. With the help of Raechel Leigh Carter who has been researching this film, we found Church Street in Twickenham, once in Middlesex but moved into London the year before this film was released.

Later that day, Timothy drives home.

Marco spends the weekend with Timothy and his mother at the cottage being renovated by her new partner.

As he cuts the hedge, Timothy keeps an eye on his mother and his friend.

Returning from the weekend away, Marco opens the door of the pub where Sarah is waiting for him. Looking out from The Queen's Elm public house towards Queen's Elm Parade at the corner of Fulham Road and Old Church Street in Chelsea Cross SW3. The pub , which closed in the 1990s, was located with assistance from Raechel Leigh Carter.

When Marco calls over from the kerbside, Timothy picks up his easel and crosses to climb into the sidecar.

The camera pans right through Battersea Square. Peter Hyde advises that the 1959 Velocette Venom 500cc with a Jet80 sidecar belonged to him at the time and was painted to look scruffy when hired for filming.

The shot ends as the combination heads along Battersea Church Road. This is the corner of Westbridge Road with the Raven Inn on the extreme right.

And thank goodness for the inn as it's the only thing of yesteryear left here. SJ

Marco pulls up and dismounts and the pair head towards the riverside. Now known as Vicarage Walk, this narrow roadway once led from Battersea Church Road to Pier Wharf. The area was used in 'Clegg', 'Melody' and 'The Man in the White Suit'.

Emma Smith (Rita Webb), the landlady, remarks about the view from the flat's balcony. The River Thames with properties on Cremorne Road and Cheyne Walk in the distance.

Yes it is, and the truck arrived as I was between shooting this and capture 9. On the west side of the square, but I was unable to gain access to the actual square so this is in front of the railings. SJ

Marco joins in when Timothy ends up in a fight outside the pub.

As Christmas approaches, Timothy heads back to the shop where Marco was living to buy a statue as a gift. Another location found with Raechel's help, this is facing westward outside 42 Church Street in Twickenham.

On New Year's Eve, Timothy drives to collect Sarah and take her to a party being held on a houseboat.

After calling on Timothy at home but ending up in bed with Carol, Marco spends the evening getting drunk. The World's End public house on King's Road, Chelsea SW10, also seen in 'Food for a Blush', 'Two a Penny' and 'What a Whopper'.

Peter wasn't drunk but did get the angle slightly wrong.

Marco heads for the New Year party where Timothy discovers what has happened. World's End Passage running along the south side the World's End.

The passage has been rerouted to turn back towards the King's Road advises Peter.

The morning after, Marco's body is dragged from the river. Old Ferry Wharf, formerly Durham and Kensington Wharves, in SW10 with Battersea Bridge in the distance.

As he's taken to the local police station, Timothy looks back at his mother as she is escorted from the riverside.
