Peter Brown captured the location now, completely unrecognisable as the original station entrance and surrounding buildings have been replaced by Gateway House.

As the truck pulls away, the camera follows to reveal the LNER Grain Warehouse that once stood on Store Street. London Road was renamed Piccadilly in September 1960.

The background warehouses have long since disappeared from Peter Brown's view.

Later in the film, a car brings Jimmy and Ben to a Police Station to a pick up a deserter. Beech Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy in Lancashire found by David Caunce.

David captured the scene now, Beech Road looking towards the Horse & Jockey public house.

David's comparison shows alterations to the former police station which has been the Lead Station bar & restaurant for many years.
