Some way into the film the first location away from the studio. The house in which the action takes place, Leonora Johnson (née Brandt) (Barbara Shelley) inherits the curse from her uncle Edmund (Ernest Milton) Included with the curse is a leopard. Steve Randall has found this to be The Vicarage, Penn Street, Amersham, Buckinghamshire. once the home of David Niven for two years as a boy.
Malcolm Tinnelly found, as is often the case now, foliage has grown up preventing access to the same angle of shot as the original. The Vicarage is now a private house, the frontage of which, has fortunately, undergone little or no change. Coupled with gates it all makes for an idylic scene. (RL)

After Leonora’s husband Richard (Jack May) is killed by the leopard that is now under her control, she agrees to go to a sanatorium. Looks as though it could be a set or a matte.

Brian Marlowe (Robert Ayres) who is both an old friend and a psychiatric doctor is responsible for her “health” and believes it would be helpful to her if she had a few days away from the sanatorium in the “real world” with his wife Dorothy (Kay Callard). Arrangements are made for a car to take her to an hotel. Unknown location.

After eating the Marlowe’s pet budgerigar Leonora follows Dorothy who feels safer going to meet her husband for dinner. Meanwhile the police are alerted of the leopard in the area of “East India Dock Road”, London. It is actually the junction of Goswell Road and Arthur Road, Windsor in Berkshire with The Noah’s Ark pub on the roundabout. The location also appears in 'Carry On Cabby', 'The White Trap' and 'On the Beat' but has since been re-developed.
The location now taken by Antony Blair.

The police tour the streets, this could be real, not a set, with someone looking out of a bedroom window. Di Davies found the street, as was, on the Royal Windsor Forum, Grosvenor Place, Windsor, Berks, looking south with Grosvenor Place and The Victoria PH at the far end.

One policemen thinks he may have seen the leopard and tells his colleague to “look sharp” and turn round. The sign reads the “Windsor Laundry”. There was such a laundry in Peascod St. Windsor, was this the laundry or an advertisement for it?

Everyone chases everyone else and this features twice. JT provides the vital clue, seen in 'On the Beat' this is Windsor with Goswell Road to the left and Arthur Road to the right, on what is/was called, Goswell Road roundabout.
