If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

No, says Marc Wilkins, not Attenborough but Gerry Marsden (of Gerry & the Pacemakers fame) the, "pretty lady" is Anna Neagle, and the photo is from the 1968 cast of the stage musical, Charlie Girl. Dennis Hamilton perhaps, La Dors, thin man, dark lady, could this next one be Lew Grade? and an unknown. Di Davies says; I think the unidentified lady is a young Shirley Bassey. Marc Wilkins says the line up is Dickie Dawson, Diana Dors, Kenneth Hume and Shirley Bassey and adds "probably early 1962 or late 1961, [Diana Dors] pregnant with her second child, Gary Dawson, born June 1962."

Di Davies adds; Diana Dors was actually married to Dickie Dawson between 1959-66 (Wikipedia). Perhaps on the 11th October 1958 they were just "going steady", "walking out" or were an "item".

Caption, coat, stockings damaged, covered in cat hairs as well as getting several scratches, 11.3.64. Cat auditions, Vaudeville Theatre (see story). Auditioning for the "Mouse Trap"? Ho, Ho! Robert Ross says that it is certainly Betty Marsden at the forefront, so it would be for the play 'Everybody Loves Opal'. (RL)

La Rue, and, possibly, Max Bygraves and a lady, the guest of honour? with large bouquet. Suggestion, Lew Grade's mother. No photographer credits. Di Davies, opinion; the man far right may be Ben Warriss, a comedian who teamed up with Jimmy Jewell to make a comedy duo. And an opinion from John Scott, whilst he continues his research into the circumstances, "the man might be Michael Medwin, rather than Ben Warriss. He and De La Rue look to be a performers at the celebration - possibly Ida’s 80th birthday in 1962". See also the following photo. (RL)

A Spencer confirms Stratford Johns on the far right. (RL)

Mitchelmore and friend. But which one? Stamped on rear Daily Sketch Copyright, the photo not the girl. Brian Swales is not sure about Cliff, but suggests Yana, "Climb Up The Wall". Pics on line don't convince me. Paul Kojat has put forward the suggestion that the lady might be Sabrina (Norma Sykes), famed for appearing with Arthur Askey in his shows.....maybe more! John Scott confirms the identification of Sabrina, based, would you believe it.........on the glasses her companion is wearing. John has found a picture of her on her fan website, wearing the 'unusual 'Finger style' glasses' when visiting the Grocery and Provisions Exhibition in June 1958. As he says, it must date the photo to about then for who would keep those glasses for long! Tim Bedford advises that the man is actually Doug Burn who took a number of the photographs that feature in this listing. (RL)

No caption, but Di says; centre, looks like cockney actress Queenie Watts. She appeared in many films and comedy shows. If you run the original 'Alfie' film you'll see her singing in the pub where the fight breaks out. She also appears in 'Holiday on the Buses' as actor Arthur Mullard's screen wife. John Scott advises that the same photograph also appears on Queenie Watts Facebook Page where on the same page the lady on the left is identified as Ida Barr, a music hall singer. She also appears in Capture 38. John wonders whether perhaps Daniel Farson was the photographer here as he is shown to be the 'presenter' of the music hall acts on the play bill held by Ida in one of those photographs. No doubt nicely posed by him! (RL)
