George Marlow (Robert Shaw) takes Jonathan Chester (Piers Bishop) to Abbots Mead, a disused house after he has kidnapped him. In reality, Abbots Mead, Barnet Lane, Elstree, shortly after filming, became the home of Stanley Kubrick. Several films including "A Clockwork Orange" were edited in an outhouse.

Det Insp Parnell (John Gregson) and Det Sgt Grey (Kenneth Cope) set off from Scotland Yard. Identified by RL as Horse Guards Avenue, London SW1 which also features in 'The Day the Earth Caught Fire', 'Make Mine a Million', 'The Jokers' and 'Two Weeks in September'.

I am surprised that Peter did not cover this one sooner. (RL)

Peter noticed a new porch at this address.

A1 Barnet Bypass with The Thatched Barn Hotel, now the Elstree Moat House in the left distance, seen from Rowley Lane bridge. The hotel can also seen in 'Digby, the Biggest Dog in the World', ‘Hysteria', 'Night Comes Too Soon', 'Intimate Games' and ‘Mr. Ten Per Cent’.

Denis Hoare replaces the GEV provided by Martin Underwood back in 2016 with this excellent match adding that the hotel has undergone another change of name and is now "Double Tree (Hilton) hotel. (RL)
