A sign announcing the construction of new homes catches the eye of young Frederick Phipps and his Fiancée as they drive past a grassy field. Looking across Ruislip Road towards Rectory Park in Yeading, Middlesex identified by Steve Champion.

Years after the couple sign on the dotted line, a gang of workers arrive in the now not so green field to begin construction. Antony believes this to be a 180 degree turn from the first capture on the Ruislip Road as there is still scrub land over the back of the estate.
If Antony's correct, then this is his view of the location now with the area once more a building site after demolition of some of the 1960s estate.

As buildings rise all around, a block of stone is delivered on which the estate's proud commemoration is to be inscribed.

A Stonemason (Bernard Cribbins) arrives to begin work on the monumental sign.

When the Dump Truck Driver (Tony Tanner) comes along, the Gatekeeper (George Benson) loads a tray of tea onto boards crossing the vehicle's hopper.

As buildings near completion, the Stonemason cracks the block on which he is working and a new one is delivered.

A Glazier (Gerald Campion) watches nervously as two workmen try to manouver a ladder into position outside newly fitted windows.

The shortsighted Carpenter (Peter Butterworth) and his Mate (Barrie Gosney) swing the ladder around . . . with the inevitable result.

After completing his visit to the site, the Architect (Ronnie Stevens) gets back into his Hillman Minx.

The Foreman (Norman Mitchell) calls to the Architect as he reverses towards a pallet lying in the mud. The construction firm Tersons provided facilities for filming and this may be the Longwood Estate in Slough which was built by the company.

The Hillman is carried further into the air. The high rise block under construction here is possibly Byron, Brockway or Albion House on Slough's Longwood Estate, then in Buckinghamshire.

Mark Alford accessed the rear of property where the resident explained that Cliff Richard once bought this house for his Mum.
