If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Inside the house of her former employer, Lucy and her friend Claire crack open the safe to steal jewellery. The Edgwarebury Hotel on Barnet Lane, Elstree in Hertfordshire.

Currently sporting the name The Manor Hotel, this is the view at the rear of the premises taken by Antony Blair.

After Claire hits the Butler over the head when he discovers them, the pair split up as Lucy (Jocelyn Britton) leaves the house. The building is currently known as Laura Ashley - The Manor Hotel and also features in many other films including ‘Endless Night’, 'Man Accused', ‘Stranger from Venus’, 'The Spider's Web', 'A Clockwork Orange', 'School for Scoundrels', 'Night Must Fall', 'Stardust (1974)', 'Never Too Young To Rock' and 'The Devil Rides Out'.

There is only one set of steps with this arrangement leading to the south lawn so I think we're looking at a reversed original shot. SJ

At Scotland Yard, Anne Turner is questioned about the robbery after Lucy plants the stolen items in her coat at a coffee bar. New Scotland Yard seen from Victoria Embankment in SW1.

Having been framed by Lucy, Anne is sentenced to three years at a reform school. Geoff Dodds identifies the Immanuel College, formerly Caldecote Towers, at Bushey in Hertfordshire which also appears in 'Identity Unknown', 'Subterfuge' and 'The Abominable Dr. Phibes'. Mark Lewczynski adds that the building was part of the Rosary Priory High School.

A white Victorian property, Immanuel College, that has been a home, a convent, a girls school and now a Jewish school.

Geoff was lucky enough to gain entry a couple of years back and took this photograph of the college. (RL)
