A lot of this film is rather dark. Here's a lit up cinema where Bird is hovering in his taxi. Geoff Dodd identifies this as The Classic, 32 Upper Tooting Road, London SW17 on the corner with Fircroft Road (RL)

The story becomes weirder. This is a house maybe in France... "Villa Goupil. It is in the French parish of Chevreuse, which is twenty-five miles southwest of Paris. It is one of a series of so-called 'earth-sheltered', or 'cave houses', built in the 1960s by the revolutionary architect, Jacques Couëlle. Villa Goupil was thus less than five years old, when John Bird was wandering around it. The house is now easily worth a couple of million Pounds - and again saw use, as a filming location for "Paris Pigalle" as recently as 2018."
