Five On Treasure Island (Children’s Film Foundation)

The dog runs past Luke Undown (Robert Cawdron) and into his antique shop. West Street, Corfe Castle. Various parts of the Dorset village are seen in ‘Man on the Run’, ‘Nuts in May’, ‘The Ghost Camera’, ‘West 11’ and ‘The Black Rider’.

Arriving home, George asks her mother, Margaret Kirrin (Iris Russell), if she can keep the dog.

After lunch, cousins Anne, Dick and Julian head for Kirrin Cove with George and Tim the dog. The cliff above Lulworth Cove in Dorset with Kirrin Island added in the distance.

Collecting an outboard motor from one of the sheds on the beach, George, Anne, Dick, Julian and Tim set off for Kirrin Island. Lulworth Cove on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

Finding Tim after he’s thrown from the castle by Jim, George joins Anne (Gillian Harrison) in the ruins.

While the children make their way back to their boat, Luke and Jim climb down from the castle. The ruined Corfe Castle dates from the 11th century.

The following day, the youngsters set off to go swimming but divert to Kirrin Island when the weather changes. The shore at Lulworth Cove.

In Kirrin Cove, Jan tends to boating equipment as the children return with a box that they found in an old shipwreck. The shore at Lulworth Cove.

Another victim to rock falls. To the left of the hut was the ice cream shop seen in 'Nuts in May'. That has also gone. (SD)

Following the map that was discovered inside the box, George and her cousins return to Kirrin Island. The remains of the King’s Tower at Corfe Castle.

Armed with shovels, hammers and axes the five start to search for lost gold ingots.

After the children find the treasure, the two villains seal them inside a chamber before taking the oars and motor from their boat.

Sixty four years later, Antony Blair arrived on the quayside.

After the alarm is raised, Commander Mainbridge readies his ship, The Gay Viking. Looking across from the north side of Little Channel with the Shipwright’s Arms public house on Ferry Road in the left background. The pub was demolished in 1977.

Pursued by Luke and Jim, Dick climbs up the ruins of Kirrin Castle until falling and hurting his leg.

Racing to the cove, Quentin Kirrin (Peter Burton), Jan and the children head for a boat. Lulworth Cove in Dorset, which also makes an appearance in ‘The Boys in Blue’, ‘The Flaw’, ‘Four Sided Triangle’, 'World War Z', ‘Out of Season', 'The Black Rider’ and ‘Nuts in May’.
