Vincent Barney's Circus arrives from France to appear at the Tower Circus on the Promenade in Blackpool, Lancashire. The resort features in many films including 'Holidays with Pay', 'They Met in the Dark', ‘Forbidden’, 'The Cuckoo Patrol', 'The Parole Officer', ‘Dick Barton Strikes Back’, 'A Taste of Honey' and ‘Love on the Dole’.

Trapeze artists Jules and Georges de Lisle learn that they have won F1,000,000 on a lottery before a romance appears to blossom between one of the brothers and Penny, a cigarette seller. Looking south on the Promenade in Blackpool.

Penny enters a bathing beauty competition. This is the South Shore Swimming Coliseum in one of a few scenes "borrowed" from 'Sing As We Go'.

Paul Swailes tells us that the open air pool was demolished and that this indoor water-park now stands on the site and provides this comparison view . . . also borrowed from 'Sing As We Go'.
