The music rises as views of London appear on screen. This is looking from Deanery Street past the fountains in front of The Dorchester Hotel towards Stanhope Gate Lodge on Park Lane in W1. The same view was seen in 'Spring in Park Lane' while the gardens appear in 'The Iron Maiden' and the lodge, one of two, in 'This Happy Breed' and 'Keep It Clean'.
A very small fountain remains and the Lodge was demolished in the late 50's early 60's to enable Park Lane to be widened. (RL)

Heading north, this is Grosvenor Square W1 with Sir William Reid Dick's Roosevelt Memorial statue to the left. The square also features in 'The Statue, 'Children of the Damned', 'For Better, For Worse', 'I Live in Grosvenor Square' and 'A Game for Vultures'.
That tree has grown a bit. (RL)

As the sign confirms, we're now on Shepherd Market in W1. The street and the surrounding area is also seen in 'Escape from Broadmoor', 'Booby Trap', 'Murder Without Crime', 'Monsieur Ripois', ‘Follow Me’, 'Night, After Night, After Night' and ‘Stage Fright’.
The street sign has been lost and a street light prevents a correct angle shot. (RL)

The shot pans left to look west along Shepherd Market towards Hertford Street before a caption appears telling us that Mayfair was founded in 1750 by Thomas Howard!
It still sells news and periodicals along with many other items now. (RL)
