Peter Bywaters took advantage of the fine weather to take his dog for a walk on Box Hill and captured this shot for us, revealing that the passage of time had allowed the trees and bushes to obscure the bend in the road.

Ben Black starts to catch Jim up. London Road, Morden, London SW19, but they were going in the direction from which they were supposed to be coming from.

Difficult now to get the exact angle but the bridge and the bus stop on the other side of the road are a help.

Jim turns off and Ben and his party draw up beside and pull Jim and Clive’s sister, Marion (Jacqueline Ellis) from their car. Is that row of pine trees a clue? Morden Park is bounded by such trees but I cannot get the background here or a few frames on to match the location.

When Clive arrives at the course he is met by a "heavy", Freddie (Howard Pays), and Mr Burnside (Harry Locke) to “encourage” him to “throw” the race. Lingfield Park, Surrey. Peter Brown confirms this is Lingfield Park.

An additional screen capture as Charles Rear does not believe this to be Lingfield Park that features in Capture 1 saying that it could be Kempton Park or Sandown, where the Sprint course is on the inside of the round course. In any event it is likely to be stock footage, but who knows? Any link with Capture 11? No, Peter Brown says, it is "our old friend Hurst Park, situated midway between Kempton and Sandown and sadly closed in 1962. Also seen in 'The Calendar' and 'The Criminal'.

Not heeding the advice he wins the race and is rewarded by Ben Black giving him protection. As the rain starts to fall Jim and Marion make a dash for cover. Wardour Street, London WC2
