If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Margot Holland (Kathleen Byron) arrives at the offices of 'Profile', a new pocket magazine, where Peter Armstrong has been made editor by her husband Aubrey. Having established the location of 'Profile's' offices, C10, Dave tells us that we are looking across to what was formerly St. Giles National School on the corner of High Holborn and Endell Street, London WC2 but the building remains! (RL)

In St Giles High Street, ever vigilant for a match with pavement cover plates Dave W found a gathering of cones hindering the historical equivalence. Beyond Endell Street, the Oasis Sports Centre replaces the WWII-damaged buildings. (RL)

While Margot and Peter lunch together, Aubrey Holland (Stuart Lindsell) makes his way to the 'Profile' offices prompting the waiting Charlie Pearson (Garard Green) to move from a wall outside and suggest a taxi. Dave W has no hesitation in advising us that this is the entrance to what is known as South Block, Horseguards Road, London SW1. (RL)

The steps have been lost to a ramp. SJ

Margot's ex husband hails a cab and unexpectedly gets in beside Aubrey before telling him about his wife's attraction to Peter. By virtue of the previous capture, this is looking north along Horseguards Road, London SW1. (RL)

Tyburn Way looking east to what is now the Marriot Park Lane Hotel, with the flagpoles on the roof of the Cumberland Hotel in Oxford Street on the left. The shape of Marble Arch is just visible between the two hotels in the gloom of dusk. It's a similar vantage point and the same direction as daylight view seen later. Marble Arch and the area around is seen in many productions including ‘Nothing Barred’, ‘Play Up the Band’, ‘Wanted for Murder’, ‘Two Gentlemen Sharing’, ‘The Statue’, ‘This Happy Breed’, ‘Major Barbara’, ‘Baffled!’ and ‘John and Julie’. (RL)

A bit too far forward but I wanted a clear shot. SJ

Driving from the Coroner's Court after Aubrey's inquest, Peter and Susan approach the headquarters of the magazine. St. Giles High Street in London WC2 with the western part of St. Giles Court filling the background located by Dave W.

Dave did his best as the projection of the western block of Central Saint Giles masks any view of Earnshaw Street, formerly seen from this viewpoint on St Giles High Street. (RL)

Peter parks the car outside the 'Profile' offices. Dave W locates this as St. Giles High Street, looking east towards the Shaftesbury Theatre. The 'offices' were also seen in 'The Diplomatic Corpse'. (RL)

The Prince's Theatre became the Shaftesbury in 1963; from this viewpoint it is now partly hidden by roadworks, the bulk of Central Saint Giles and the plane trees. A good comparison shot none the less Dave. (RL)

Susan (Thea Gregory) and Peter enter the building where Auditors are found waiting. So as Dave points out the 'Court' is that of 'St. Giles Court. (RL)

Dave took a step back in order to show the perspective afforded by the piazza of Central St Giles. And in order to avoid the buses on St Giles High Street. (RL)
