Gunfire, guard dogs barking and sirens sounding preceded the appearance of a Special Agent (John Barber) as he jumps over a wall. Facing Twickenham Studios on The Barons in St. Margaret's in Twickenham.

The Agent creeps up on Albert Toddey (David Jason). A prop pillar box stands on The Barons in Twickenham, Greater London.

When asked what he is doing by the Agent, Albert explains meekly that he is walking the dog. The Barons with St. Margaret’s Court on the extreme left and properties on St. Margaret’s Road in the right distance.

Inside the building, Albert reads a flyer offering half price entry into the Red Mill Club. The Barons, various parts of which appear in several productions including 'The Man Outside', ‘Not So Dusty’, ‘Au Pair Girls’, ‘Emergency’, ‘Breakaway’, ‘Jungle Street’, ‘Strongroom’, 'Witness in the Dark', ‘Double Bunk’, ‘The Ghost Camera’ and ‘Delayed Action’.

A montage of Soho locations begins with Great Windmill Street W1 showing the Windmill Theatre to the right. The street features in numerous other films including ‘Time Without Pity', The Small World of Sammy Lee’, ‘The Optimists of Nine Elms’, 'Murder at the Windmill', 'The Gelignite Gang', ‘The Squeeze’ and ‘Rag Doll’.

Views of a lost Soho are shown as the naiive Albert ponders the location of the supposed high-end Gentleman’s club.

Two Special Branch investigators loiter outside the Red Mill Club as they keep owner Dudley Fox under surveillance. The Red Mill Club was built at the studio whereas this is the front of La Pigalle Striptease Revue Bar.

Making his mind up, Albert heads to Soho. Shaftesbury Avenue in W1 with the Queen’s Theatre at the corner of Wardour Street to the centre.

More shots of sleazy Soho appear before Albert enters the Red Mill Club where he witnesses an argument between Stella and a Bouncer. Outside Maxim’s Revue Bar on Frith Street W1 with buildings on Shaftesbury Avenue just visible on the extreme right.

Having accompanied Stella home after she tells him about disappearing Girls, Albert runs from her flat when she is kidnapped. Looking out onto Kelvin Drive from numbers 14 - 24 Kelvin Court.

Albert almost collides with a Woman (Paddy McQueen) before returning to the flat where he finds a notebook taken from the club by Stella. Facing 14 – 24 Kelvin Court on Kelvin Drive in St. Margaret’s, Twickenham. The cul-de-sac also features in 'The Fiend', 'Not So Dusty' and 'Breakaway'.

Following Stella and Albert from the club, Fosdyke (Tim Barrett) and Chumley (Hugh Lloyd) arrive outside her flat. Kelvin Drive with The Barons and Twickenham Studios to the right.

The Investigators enter the Eastern Import Company’s shop to wait for Albert, who they have directed to the premises in order to find an interpreter. Facing 122 St. Margaret’s Road, opposite Amyand Park Road in St. Margaret’s.

Pursuing all the available clues, Albert arrives at a desolate station. Woldingham Station in Woldingham, Surrey.

Leaving the platform, Albert passes through the car park on his way to find the Grange. The car park at Woldingham station on Station Road, Woldingham.

Albert has trouble negotiating the gates when he reaches the Grange after sunset.

Climbing through bushes, Albert is greeted by a sight of the huge house belonging to Dudley Fox.

Inside the house, Albert learns that the owner of the Red Mill Club is a white slaver before discovering Stella and the missing Girls in the cellar. Heatherden Hall at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire. The location appears in numerous films including ‘The Early Bird’, ‘Twice Around the Daffodils’, ‘From Russia With Love’, ‘Games That Lovers Play’, ‘Penny Gold’, ‘The Vulture’, ‘Some Girls Do’, ‘Go For a Take’ and ‘Bugsy Malone’.

Albert is captured during a bungled escape attempt and is driven from the Grange along with Stella, the Girls, Fosdyke and Chumley.

During the van ride, Stella discloses that she is an undercover police officer.

Fox and his Men lead as the journey to the warehouse continues.

The van reaches it’s destination where Fox meets with his Middle Eastern customers. This is the access road to the works off Arlington Road behind Twickenham Studios and the railway in the background runs between Richmond and St. Margaret's stations with the garages to the right belong to Howmic Court. The yard beyond the works is seen in 'The Fiend'.

Following a struggle inside the warehouse, Albert chases Dudley Fox (Raymond Cross) while Stella phones the police. The warehouse stands alongside the the Duke of Northumberland’s River in Isleworth and the bridge in the right distance carries Church Street.

Fox grabs a weapon stopping Albert in his tracks. Inside Twickenham Film Studios in St. Margaret's, Twickenham with the rear of buildings on St. Margaret’s Road in the background. 'Strictly Confidential' also features scenes shot within the studio.

Albert is pursued to a riverside wharf. Taylor's Wharf between Bridge Wharf and Lion Wharf on the Thames in Isleworth, London. Also appearing in ‘Four in the Morning’, Lion Wharf lies to the top, left of centre.

The scene now taken by Antony Blair, which shows the residential development of the former wharf.

Fox follows Albert who hides behind a stack of pallets. Judging by the colour of the painted brickwork to the right, this is Taylor's Wharf.

Back on the wharf, Albert swings on a chain, knocking Fox into the river. Seen from the terrace of The London Apprentice public house on Church Street, Isleworth, this is a wider view of Bridge Wharf on the right, Taylor's Wharf to the centre and Lion Wharf in the left distance. A similar view can be seen in 'Echoes of Diana'.

For his help in capturing Fox, Albert is rewarded with a job at Scotland Yard . . . as concierge. New Scotland Yard on Broadway in London SW1. The now demolished building also appears in ‘Hennessy’, ‘Columbo: Dagger of the Mind’, ‘Don’t Open til Christmas’, ‘The File of the Golden Goose’, ‘Frenzy’ and 'The Sex Thief'.
