Whilst drunk, Malcolm Stevenson crashes and interrupts a smuggling operation. He is beaten up but when discovered, his injuries are assumed to be from the crash.

After leaving hospital, Malcolm Stevenson (Clive Brook) heads north in his white car. This is a lovely still, showing a dual carriage way with very few cars but, unusually, a horse and carriage.

Malcolm and Molly out for a drive. Presuming this is a pan to the following capture and that we are correct on the location then this would place the houses here to be in Rossall Crescent, London NW10 with Harrow on the Hill lined up behind the houses. (RL)

Malcolm's car continues on its way. Dave W and I venture to suggest that this is the A40 Western Avenue opposite Park Royal Underground Station in W5 with the depository building now redeveloped to be the Park Plaza Hotel. (RL)
