Frankenstein works long into the night before setting in motion the equipment that will bring life to his creation. This is Down Place, Hammer’s Studios at Oakley Green between Bray and Windsor in Berkshire. The studio building itself is often used as a location and appears in 'The House Across the Lake', 'Dracula: Prince of Darkness', 'The Road Builder', 'Death of an Angel' and 1959's 'The Mummy' amongst other films.

After shooting the creature and burying it in the woods, the Baron and Dr. Krempe return to the castle. The familiar silhouette of Oakley Court on Windsor Road in Oakley Green, Berkshire. The building is seen in many productions including 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' made in 1978, ‘And Now The Screaming Starts’, 'Someone at the Door' from 1950, 'Witchcraft', 'What the Butler Saw', ‘The Man from Nowhere’, 'Never Take Sweets From a Stranger', ‘The Man Who Finally Died’, ‘Nightmare’, ‘The House in Nightmare Park’ and ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’.
