Vehicles come to a stand in Piccadilly Circus W1 as the film pauses and the Narrator speaks "Once again we stop the mighty roar of London's traffic. And from the great crowds we bring you some of the interesting people who are on the prowl tonight".

Not the same angle but I thought that as the original was dark, we might enjoy a deserted Anteros.

In an effort to cure her hiccoughs, Susan Graham, subject of the attention from 'prowlers' Spencer Stone, Humphrey Beagle and her guardians Ernest Bennett and Major Basil Beagle, visits Dr. James Edwards on Wilton Place in Knightsbridge. The oddly mounted street sign suggests that this is NOT the place indicated upon it and Geoff Dodd advises that this is actually Belgrave Square in SW1, looking across at number 46.

The psychiatrist's assistant, Alf, shows a short comedy film to Susan entitled 'The Inventor of To-day creates the World of To-morrow'. The roundel looks real enough, but is the station?

Carrying his plans in a briefcase, the Inventor enters an Underground station where several Spies are waiting to ambush him.

When he discovers that he's carrying a paste bucket instead of his briefcase, the Inventor jumps from a departing train. To the right, a fairly good representation of a 'Standard Stock' train leaves the studio set.

When the Inventor is captured by his Men, one of the Spies hails a taxi to make their escape.

Managing to get away from the Spies, the Inventor hides his briefcase under a bus.

The Spies lose their prey as they run past the bus where the Inventor is looking at the engine beneath the bonnet.

Susan is taken to the BBC where she meets disorganised disc jockey Terry-Thomas. To the left stands BBC’s Broadcasting House at the junction of Portland Place and, on the right, All Souls Place and Langham Place in W1 which features in many other films including ‘You Made Me Love You’, 'Man on the Run', ‘Death at Broadcasting House’, 'The Oracle', ‘Once a Jolly Swagman’, ‘The Day the Earth Caught Fire’, ‘Band Wagon’, ‘No Trace’, ‘The Happy Family’, ‘Mother Riley Meets the Vampire’, ‘Back Room Boy’, ‘The Voice of Merrill’ and ‘Give My Regards To Broad Street’ while the Church of All Souls on the right is seen in 'Follow Me', 'Calling All Cars', 'Josephine and Men' and 'The Hypnotist'.

The BBC broadcasts an appeal on behalf of Nick Martin, to find Susan Graham. The board to the top left shows that this is a match between Burnley and Charlton Athletic and Elliot Tapping has determined that this is the April 1947 FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in Middlesex.

All over the country, admirers of the radio star Nick Martin search for the girl. This, advises the Narrator, is Bushey Park where Major Basil Beagle has organised a mounted search.

Lord Byron (Dennis Price) also assists in the hunt.

Local sportsmen turn out in East Grinstead . . . Dave W hesitates to disillusion these keen sportsmen but they are actually in South Carriage Drive, Hyde Park, London SW1X 7PL looking west. (RL)
