Tom Fisher departs his family home for longer than maybe he first imagined. This is supposed to be Birmingham but we know better in Dulwich, London SE21.

Tom heads for Birmingham's New Street Station. Facing the main entrance to the station from the corner of Smallbrook Queensway and the station's vehicle access road, the remnant of the former Queen's Drive.

Travelling to London, Tom walks through the concourse of Euston station. The station stands off Euston Road in NW1. Various views of the station, new and old, are seen in many other films including 'No Place for Jennifer', 'No Love for Johnnie', 'Indiscreet', 'Night Train for Inverness', 'Bartleby', 'Play It Cool', 'Schizo' and 'A Honeymoon Adventure'.

He disposes of his connections to his former life in Peckham Rye Park and Common on the SE15 / SE22 boundary.

A quick trip to check his tree-bruised nose brings Tom into contact with Aidan Gillen outside King's College Hospital.

Tom resorts to begging on Lordship Lane, back in SE22.

Tom leaves a café on Norwood Road SE24 to find out what's happened to Aidan who brings a cat into the café and makes himself a few enemies.

Everything was firmly shut during lock-down, but Steve's Café will no doubt re-open. SJ

Aidan is beaten up at the back in the alley and loses his cat Treacle in the process. The alleyway runs north alongside the railway viaduct from Croxted Road.

It's often this busy. Holderness House, seen in an earlier capture, is along a path to the rear left of me. SJ

Some pub respite in The Ivy House at 40 Stuart Road SE15. Also seen in 'Swimming with Men' and 'Legend'. On reflection I don't think this is the Ivy, and am open to suggestions. (SJ)

This looks like the now demolished Heygate Estate, which lasted forty years and hosted films such as 'Hereafter', 'Wonderland' and 'Harry Brown'. The site is now occupied by Elephant Park.

Tom and Aidan take a trip to the Horniman museum. The museum stands at 100 London Road in Forest Hill SE23.

With the computers being so near to the windows, I think the glass may have been tinted since to lessen the power of the sun. Despite the reflection, this nevertheless shows the clock tower of the old Jones and Higgins department store on the corner of Rye Lane and Peckham High Street. After closing in 1980, ti was the Peckham Palais, a nightclub for a number of years. But it has been closed for at least ten years and in danger of demolition. SJ

Aidan seeks to make up his cash shortfall by suggesting hedge trimming with a pair of scissors to neighbours. This is just south of the Blue Brick Café, seen earlier.
