Doctor’s Dilemma, The

Sir Patrick Cullen (Felix Aylmer) turns a corner into Harley Street and begins to share his thoughts, "The Home of the medical profession. Here they all are. The good and the bad." Dave W provides a 'same day service' and tells us that this is outside 62 Queen Anne Street in London W1 looking across to Welbeck Street. Has Health and Safety had the letter box opening changed to point towards the pavement? (RL)

Dave sees this as a wider view of Queen Anne Street looking west from its corner with Wimpole Street, as indicated by the shadow of the building elevation. The coal hole cover seen in the foreground appears to be still present. (RL)

Looking at a brass name plate being polished by a Maid the Doctor thinks "I know him. He used to snip of the ends of people's uvula's for fifty guineas!" Specifically, Dave says, outside 60 Queen Anne Street. (RL)

Across the road, Cutler Walpole (Alastair Sim) gets out of his car as Sir Patrick approaches the home of Dr. Colenso Ridgeon, who has just received a knighthood for supposedly finding a cure for consumption. Dave a 'king of shadow angles' notes a change, perhaps indicating a lengthy lunch break before 47 Queen Anne Street on the south side gained enough sunshine to make a good shot. (RL)

Dr. Blenkinsop (Michael Gwynn) takes off his bicycle clips before climbing the steps to Sir Colenso Ridgeon's front door. Dave leaves us outside 56 Queen Anne Street in W1. (RL)

After Sir Colenso agrees to help cure Jennifer Dubedat's husband of tuberculosis, the two take a hansom cab to the studio where the couple live.

Carrying a gown belonging to his wife, Louis Dubedat (Dirk Bogarde) strides purposefully through the streets. Andy "Funkijunki"identifies this as facing number 2 Crown Street in Harrow, Middlesex.

The window has given way to a new doorway in Antony Blair's view.

The penniless artist turns a corner . . . Found by Funkijunki, this is the corner of Crown Street and West Street in Harrow, a location that can be seen in 'Go Kart Go'.

Antony Blair found that the corner shop had been converted.

. . . and crosses the road towards a pawn shop. The corner of Crown Street and West Street in Harrow-on-the-Hill located by Funkijunki.

The yellow lines and parked cars give away that Antony Blair's visit took place 64 years later.

Louis peers through the window before entering the shop. Funkijunki recognised the bay window of 49 West Street, Harrow in Middlesex.

Antony Blair found the location well preserved, if little shabby.

Sir Colenso John Robinson (John Robinson) and Sir Patrick set off for Louis Dubedat's studio where Sir Ralph Bloomfield Bonington and Cutler Walpole are to meet them. A further thought from Dave, outside 47 Queen Anne Street as seen earlier but filmed a little later in the afternoon. (RL)
