In the offices of MP Robert Hilary, his secretary Miss Fawcett receives Frances Challinor for her appointment to see the Member of Parliament. Well yes, it may be near Parliament but it is actually Hampton House on Albert Embankment, London SE1. It can be seen on https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2096962 in its 'closing stages' before being replaced by the Corniche Towers. With grateful thanks to Geoff Dodd for resolving this one for us. With passengers already stepping from the platform, a bus comes to a stand. Brompton Road at Knightsbridge Green in SW7, a location that also appears in 'Say Hello to Yesterday', 'The Romance of London', 'The Good Beginning' and 'There Was a Young Lady'.

Purchasing a paper from the Vendor (Ernie Rice), Frances enters the bar and orders a drink while waiting for Oliver Marchant. Outside The Crown & Sceptre public house at the corner of Brompton Road and Montpelier Street. The pub also features in 'Stock Car'.

Becoming more involved than he should with his new secretary and being blackmailed by Oliver Marchant, Robert Hilary returns to his country home. Upper Court on Portsmouth Road, Esher in Surrey.

Reading that Mr. and Mrs. Hillary are spending the weekend with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Oliver Marchant (Mark Eden) tells Frances that they've backed a winner. Richard Marum identifies this as Radnor Gardens, a small public riverside garden and recreation ground in Strawberry Hill, south of Twickenham, Greater London. The area was once home to five dwellings of varying merit, all being damaged by a flying bomb in 1944.

Richard explains that this is the north end of the gardens with Radnor House School in the background. The path curving away to the left ends at the park entrance on Cross Deep, the road connecting Twickenham to Strawberry Hill.

Annoyed at her boyfriend for repeatedly blackmailing the MP, Frances asks where they money is. Richard Marum advises that the small structure just visible in the centre distance of Radnor Gardens is the original Radnor House Gazebo while, barely visible, to the right is the grade 2 listed polygonal Summer House built in the mid 18th century. The low wall to the left is the corner of the Strawberry Hill bowling green.

Looking west, many of the elements remain in Richard's modern view.

Frances tells Oliver that he can only push Hilary so far. Overlooking Swan Island river moorings to the south of Radnor Gardens in Twickenham identified by Richard Marum.
