Can you help:

If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

  • 'Now' required

Taking off into space from New York when Tommy closes the hatch, the Professor's timeball returns to earth after travelling back into history.

  • 'Now' required

Tommy (Tommy Handley) steps out of the Professor's invention in into 16th century England. Mattes, models, animation and and sets at Gainsborough Studios are used to help tell the story in this wartime production.

Arrested on suspicion of being a spy, Tommy is taken to the Tower of London. The only location seen, albeit very briefly, is the Tower of London at Tower Hill in EC3.

Perhaps in 15 years when the next shot is due it should be taken when the leaves have fallen. (RL)
