Enemy agent Rudolph Hauser finds what he wants in the luggage van of an express train as it travels through Switzerland. Manuel Gurtner tells us that this is one of several stock shots featuring the French State Railways, with this scene already used in Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Lady Vanishes' from 1938.

The train pulls into a station where Hauser directs the Police to arrest Simon Templar. Manuel Gurtner advises that this stock footage, albeit mirrored, featureing a local train of the Italian State Railways (FS), hauled by a 2-8-2 tank loco of FS-class 940, pulling into Toblach/Dobbiaco station on the Puster Valley Railway between Franzensfeste (Fortezza) and Innichen (San Candido), South Tyrol, Italy. The same shot was also used for 'Pimpernel Smith' made during the same year.
