On a late afternoon, the last Customer leaves J. Reynolds's jewellery shop. Nicky C recognised Chelsea Green SW3 with the corner of Cale Street and Elystan Street to the top right.

And now, from street level by Richard Marum (RM).

From across the road, Norman and Bell watch as Miss Martin locks up the shop. Chelsea Green at the the junction of Cale Street, Elystan Street, Whitehead's Grove and Jubilee Place found by Nicky C. The location also features in 'Say Hello to Yesterday'.

A difficult shot to recreate.

In their Ford Consul Convertible, the two crooks follow Miss Martin as she walks around the nearby corner. The junction of Cale Street, Elystan Street and Whitehead's Grove with Cranmer Court to the top right.

Undeterred by the high angle, RM took this view of the same junction.

Oblivious that she's being watched by 'Pin' Norman (Michael Coles), Miss Martin (Nancy O'Neil) makes her way to the station and her train home. Miss Martin's train arrives at her stop. Peter Brown (2) advises that although Miss Martin catches the train at West Croydon, she also alights here at West Croydon! But she emerges in Capture 7 at Merton Park Station. Peter adds, the train headcode 84 indicated Epsom Downs to Victoria via West Croydon and if one listens carefully to the soundtrack, the station announcer reels off the intermediate stations W. In the distance the rear of the train can be seen snaking around the bay where the 2-car Wimbledon trains terminated. (RL)

Alighting from the train, the middle aged spinster leaves the station. Merton Park station on Rutlish Road in SW19. The station can also seen in 'Accidental Death', 'Horror Hospital', 'Hidden Homicide' and 'The Frozen Dead'.

Richard Marum discovered that the last train had departed some time ago.

Norman walks ahead as Miss Martin makes her way along the footpath from the station. This is the footpath leading south-east from Rutlish Road towards Melbourne Road and the footbridge over the railway.

Although all around has changed, Richard found that the footpath still exists.

The two reach the other end of the footpath. Looking through the railings of Mostyn Gardens on Mostyn Road SW19.

The same location captured by RM.

When Lewis (Jerry Stovin) asks Norman for directions, Miss Martin is called to assist. Mostyn Road in Merton Park. Other sections of the road appear in 'The Corpse' and 'Death Goes to School'.

Norman manhandles Miss Martin into the car and Lewis drives away. Facing north on Mostyn Road in SW19.

As the road is busier than it was sixty years ago, Richard Marum took this shot from the safety of the footpath.

A Constable (Colin McKenzie) checks the shops on his beat as Norman and Baker lie low inside the jewellers. Nick C advises that this is Cale Street with the corner of Elystan Road to the right.

Richard captured this rather fruity comparison.

Soon after the burglary is discovered and Miss Martin's body is found, Mrs. Reynolds (Nadja Regin) arrives outside the jewellers to collect her husband, the owner. Cale Street at Chelsea Green SW3 is identified by Nicky C and Repeat Watch advises that Chelsea Fishmongers at number 10 are still in business.

Lewis, Paddy and Baker wait outside the kiosk while Norman calls Bell at Eastcote Farm. Richard Marum locates this as Highbury Road in Wimbledon and points out the street sign behind the phone box!

Realising that that the telephone box was a prop, Richard took this view of its location.

While Bell leaves the phone to carry out Norman's instructions, the gang drive away when the Sparrow picks up the receiver. Facing south-west on Highbury Road SW19, found by Richard Marum.
