Storyline:
An out-of-work Parisian magician packs his belongings and moves to London, but finding that he’s unable to compete with modern entertainment accepts an invitation to visit a remote Scottish island where he meets a girl who is captivated by his illusions and kindness.

On his way home after being fired from the garage, the Illusionist stops to buy sausages. The street sign reads East Adam Street, an area of Edinburgh that has seen substantial redevelopment, and this can only be the corner of the Pleasance.
