Supposed to be the back of the Palace for the extended family photo. This is one of several stand-in locations to represent Buckingham Place. This location is Wrotham Park, Hertfordshire, EN5 4SB.

Following the accidental electrocution of the assembled Royals (whose family name, ‘Windsor’, was changed to the fictional name ‘Windham’ for this movie), a shot of The Houses of Parliment sets the scene for government discuss the incident.

Westminster Bridge and the Palace of Westminster in their full glory. SJ

As the nation looks for the closest living link, the Royal coffin passes through the streets of London. This location isn't actually a street at all but is the square in the grounds of Somerset House, Strand, London, WC2. This location has been used to represent part of St Petersburg, Russia in the Bond film 'Goldeneye'. It was also seen in 'Tomorrow Never Dies'.

Phipps (Richard Griffiths) tracks down Ralph (John Goodman) to Las Vegas. Phipps tries to explain the situation outside a hot dog stand which is almost certainly a studio interior set recreation.

Willingham (Peter O'Toole) pulls up in his car to get told that the King has left the building. This is another use of Somerset House, Strand, London, WC2. The three arches in the background were also seen in the coffin pass sequence in Capture 4.

Ralph leaves the strip joint (Cafe de Paris in Coventry Street) and emerges from Tisbury Court, London W1 and gets into the car on Rupert Street. The signage remains of the now long closed 'Raymond Revue Bar' is visible in the background.

Looking north up Rupert Street towards Walker's Court in the middle. Raymond closed down in 2004 but higher (out of shot above the top right) still bears the name and neon sign. Spent some recent time as the Soho Revue Bar. SJ

Ralph learns cricket at the back of Buckingham Palace. This is actually Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, OX20 1PP.

Miranda (Camille Coduri) is visited at her home by Lord Percival Graves (John Hurt). This location was solved by site visitor Steve Randall who worked out that this is Galloway Road, Shepherd's Bush W12 0PH (house no. 99 is on the right).

Antony Blair returned 33 years later to find a terrace of painted houses.

Going to meet the Prime Minister in the grounds of Buckingham Palace. This is Harewood House, Harewood, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS17 9LG.

Miranda is driven to meet Ralph at the palace. This is the East gate entrance to the Old Royal Naval College, London SE10 9NN. The car is turning off from Park Row.

"Patriot Games" also used this as an entrance to Buckingham Palace. A Toyota Estima stands in for us. SJ

Ralph walks through the large palace greenhouse as Willingham tries to put him off seeing Camille. Syon House, Syon Park, Brentford, Greater London TW8 8JF. Many productions have used this location over years including 'The Madness of King George', 'Emma' and 'Gosford Park'.

Ralph takes Miranda for a drive...in the grounds of the palace. This is another usage of Somerset House, Strand, London WC2.

Gordon (Leslie Phillips) discusses future tactics at the home of Lord Percival Graves. In real life this is Highclere Castle, Highclere Park, Newbury in Berkshire RG20 9RN. Many people around the world will now recognise it as Downton Abbey, from the hit TV series.

Ralph plays a giant game of darts with King Mulambon (Rudolph Walker) in the wasteland area of Warrington Gardens. Since the film was shot there, the wasteland has been redeveloped and now has an apartment block on the site. Its address is 1 Warrington Gardens, Little Venice, London W9 2QB.

Ralph attempts to play 'fetch' with the Corgis. This is another angle of Harewood House, Harewood, Leeds LS17 9LG.

Attempting a covert night out with Miranda, they meet at Piccadilly Circus, London W1J 9HS.

Tower Records' flagship store between Piccadilly and Regent Street lasted from 1985 to 2003 then became a Virgin and briefly a Zavvi until the records stopped playing in 2009. SJ

A visit to Windsor Castle for further schooling in issues of national importance. This is actually the real Windsor Castle. The motorcade turned from the B3022 onto Castle Hill. The statue in the foreground is of Queen Victoria.

Sitting with the Prime Minister Jeffrey Hale (James Villiers), they are moving along The Long Walk with the real Windsor Castle in the background. The Long Walk is a straight avenue of trees 2.64 miles (4.25 km), linking Windsor Castle with The Great Park.

They return along The Long Walk in Windsor from the opposite direction. The statue in the background is of King George III & his Horse.

At St Pancras Station railway station to greet King Gustav (Julian Glover) and the Finnish Royal Family. This is now St Pancras International, Euston Road, London N1C 4QP.

Post disastrous dance, King Ralph walks along outside 'Buckingham Palace' with a swan just behind him. This is actually shot in the grounds of Harewood House, Harewood, Leeds LS17 9LG.

In desperation Ralph goes North to find Miranda who is back living at her parents home. This is Dalton, Rotherham in West Yorkshire S65 3HJ. This area has been totally redeveloped in recent years and so this location seems to now be roughly where Dalton Lane meets Myers Avenue. Liberty Speciality Steels is visible in the background.

They walk through the alotments near Miranda’s mothers house. This entire area was redeveloped since filming, so this area is roughly where Hobson Way is now located in Dalton, Rotherham. West Yorkshire. Liberty Speciality Steels is visible in the background.

With the King's title transferred, there is some last minute business to be sorted out in Buckingham Palace. This is a shot of the real Buckingham Palace, with St James's Park Lake in the foreground. The Victoria Memorial monument is visible on the right.

Ralph, now free of Royal obligation, goes to St John's Wood High Street, London NW8 7SH to reunite with Miranda. The High Street appears in many films, including 'Half Moon Street', 'The Devil Inside' and 'Bank Raiders'.
