In the Hampshire market town of Derringham, after overhearing news of Charlesworth's death Emily Thatcher (Christine Adrian) runs from a shop to where her daughter Julie (Carol Marsh) is waiting by their Land Rover. Looking towards the northern side of Station Approach in Hinchley Wood, Esher, Surrey located by Steve Randall.

Returning to the local police station, Inspector Dexter finds that the Ballistics Expert brought from London has found no rifle from the area that matches with the bullet extracted from Davy Charlesworth. Ron Glenister places this as what was Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Queens Road, London SW19 opposite South Park Road that features in captures 8 and 9. (RL)

Leaving a fairground after discovering that Julie Thatcher is a crack-shot, Detective Constable Byrne phones his report through to Inspector Dexter at the police station.

Checking on John Patterson's alibi, the Detectives pay a visit to his mother at her home on South Street in the story's Frampton. Ron Glenister finds that the film's address is not far off that of the correct location address, namely 11 South Park Road, London SW19. (RL)
Peter Bywaters took a step to the left otherwise the shot would have been mostly all hedge.

Leaving Mrs. Patterson's house after questioning Julie when she arrives, Inspector Dexter returns to Derringham. Following on from Ron's previous capture this has to be 13 South Park Street, Wimbledon. (RL)
Replacement windows are evident in Peter Bywaters' comparison but the brickwork detail around the window remains.

Giving instructions to his Sergeant, the Inspector enters Derringham Council House to make further enquiries at the rates office. Outside Wimbledon Town Hall on Queens Road SW19 with since replaced buildings on The Broadway in the background.
Peter Bywaters found that the former Town Hall is now a business centre that also incorporates a Tesco Express, how times have changed.
